Physician Assistant

A physician assistant is a healthcare professional with proven experience in working closely with doctors to assist them in reading charts and examining, diagnosing and treating patients. The list of job descriptions also includes prescribing and administering appropriate medication. Most importantly, a physician assistant is also able to evaluate patients’ health and their requests while aiming to address these to the best of their abilities and discuss such findings, including health problems that might occur, with a physician.

Nurse Anesthetist

So what does a nurse anesthetist do? They are specially trained healthcare workers authorized to manage anesthesia services and assist with other medical procedures during surgeries and other required tasks. They are also nurses who are able to provide preparation instructions and assess patient history before the surgery. Nurse anesthetists are also responsible for creating an anesthesia plan and administering it with the required medication during and after the procedure. Given the vital part they fulfill within a medical team, nurse anesthetists are required to have a valid nursing license in their state.

Average base salary: $195,610 per year

Pharmacist

A pharmacist is a healthcare worker who is medically trained to provide advice on the prescription and use of medications. Their responsibilities also include dispensing medicines to patients and advising them on how to take them safely. More importantly, pharmacists also counsel people on the proper dosing and the possible ways of administering such prescribed medications. The pharmacist is also required to adhere to the applicable law when giving out subscriptions, reviewing labels and training pharmacy staff, among other duties.

Average base salary: $146,278 per year

Physical Therapist

Another rewarding and sought-after role on this list is the physical therapist, who is dedicated to helping patients with physical difficulties and to recover from injuries, improve disabilities, or help with aging-related mobility issues, among others. They aim to restore and increase their moving abilities while also reducing the occurrence of future problems. However, it’s important to note that different types of physiotherapists are available, including cardiovascular, cardiovascular, or physical therapists specializing in men’s and women’s health, neurology, or respiratory physiotherapist, among others.
