GeneralMajor Causes and Symptoms of Genital Herpes

Genital herpes is one of the common venereal diseases that can result in you having sores or blisters around the genital areas. It is a condition caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). Once it transmits, it sucks, as you will be repeatedly troubled because the virus lies dormant in you.

Symptoms

Though herpes can be affected in various body parts, the genitals and mouth are the areas it mainly targets. Herpes attacks your genital areas with blisters of red and open sores which can be detected in your penis, vagina, anus as well as on outer areas like thighs and buttocks. These blisters are the basic symptom of the condition. Other than this, you may struggle with various other symptoms like:

  • Burning
  • Itchiness
  • Unusual discharge (in Women)
  • Pains or aches along with discomfort
  • Pain during urination
  • Tender lumps
  • Fever (in rare conditions)
  • Scabs

Once someone catches the virus, the person will show the symptoms within a few weeks, usually sores,  but can be accompanied by headache, fever, or other similar conditions. Herpesyl is a viable alternative for those who are struggling with herpes.

Major Causes of Genital Herpes

The condition of genital herpes can be caused by two types of the herpes simplex virus.

HSV-1 and

HSV-2.

This can be transmitted in people through skin-to-skin contact. The virus particle can be spread when you exchange your saliva through a passionate kiss with your partner. It is also not good to have unprotected sex with an infected person. Chances are greater in having unsafe oral or anal intercourse too.

The skin in your genitals is delicate so the effect of genital herpes is greater, even if it is the case of transmission or infections. Though chances are very rare, a baby can also contract it from his mother who undergoes a natural vaginal birth after getting infected.

Touching the infected genitals can let the virus stay in your hands and in case someone forgets to wash hands before touching another person, the latter is more likely to get infected and suffer from the disease.

Many people have the misconception that the virus can enter human bodies from public toilets. Even though it is a disgusting state, it is less likely to spread through toilet seats or towels. This is because of the virus’s inability to survive outside human bodies. It means that you can sit on toilet seats without any worries. Most people also get mistaken if they see a pimple or ingrown hair on their genital areas as herpes. In that case, it is better to get tested to ensure whether you have it or not.

Studies show that herpes in genital areas is common in people. The outbreaks of this condition can be reduced and prevented with antiviral medications. Since unsafe sexual intercourse is the major source of this, it is better to avoid it, in case either of the couples is infected or taking medications against it as per herpagreens reviews. Even if the infected doesn’t have any symptoms, whether it is before or after medications, still there is a higher chance to get it shared with the other person.
