GeneralHow AHCC Usage Can Change per Person

Gender

Males who participated in certain studies of the use of AHCC seemed to have a higher incidence of rashes as a side effect. This was an effect that was obtained by giving the same dose to all healthy adult participants. Women in this same study suffered exacerbations of pre-existing alopecia, an autoimmune problem. They also seemed to have more incidence of gastrointestinal upset. It should be noted that these results are not conclusive, and were obtained from a single study.

Weight

As with all dosages of medicines, supplements, or treatments, body mass is a factor in dosing appropriately. A larger body mass, or weight, indicates higher fluctuations in dosing for many medicinal and herbal supplements. The correct dose of AHCC by a weight-based method has not yet been conceived or formulated.

Controversial Uses

AHCC usage in pregnant, lactating and currently nursing women is controversial. Few or no studies of scope have been done to study any adverse effects of the mushroom extracts found in AHCC. Similarly, these dietary supplements have not been tested for safety in infants or children. Any use other than that of healthy adults who are not currently pregnant or lactating should only proceed with the blessing of your current healthcare provider.

The boosting effect of AHCC on the immune system indicates the possibility that this dietary supplement should possibly be avoided by people who suffer from autoimmune problems. The stimulating effect of AHCC on certain components of the immune system indicates that it could worsen the autoimmune reaction in these kinds of disorders, possibly, causing worsening of symptoms. Contact your healthcare provider or doctor if you are suffering from any kind of autoimmune problem and wish to use AHCC as a dietary supplement.

Cytokines are proteins called signal cells. They include interferon, lymphokines, interleukins, and tumor necrosis factors. They function in a similar way to hormones. Cytokines regulate the growth and responsiveness of the cells that control the immune response.

NK cells are useful when the body is attacked by viruses. They are responsible for the ability of the body to form an immunological response to a virtual invader that it has experienced in the past (acquired immunity).

Macrophages can combat and engulf bacteria. They also release cytokine, a chemical signal that sends a message to other white blood cells to fight invading pathogens. Macrophages are a base cell that divides into other forms of white cells which are targeted towards immunity. Macrophages are unusual in their involvement in a mechanism called phagocytosis, in which they can swallow and essentially eliminate foreign bacteria and other pathogens.

Dendritic cells are cellular guides for cells that are not completely developed in the immune system. Essentially they provide messages that tell the body to generate different kinds of cells that combat different kinds of invaders. AHCC is believed to help stimulate the development of these kinds of cells, and assist the immune system in this way.

T Lymphocytes are white cells that essentially collaborate with the B-Cells to organize a cellular response to combat foreign bodies of disease, like bacterial and viral cells. IT-cells are first produced in the bone marrow and in the thymus gland, they become the stem type precursor that is divided into separate white blood cell types, meant for battling pathogens.

Try AHCC

AHCC can stimulate all of the above immune system responses in such a way as to improve upon the immune response. This is an amazing effect of this humble little Japanese mushroom, which can take on such a mighty task. Use this supplement to help your body stay strong and healthy, coupled with a sensible diet and regular exercise.
