– Protection against theft – If someone tries to steal something, it will be automatically deactivated by the RFID tag’s built-in security mechanism. The RFID tracking label is a great way to ensure that products are not stolen as they move through the supply chain.

How does it work?

Since these radio frequency identification labels use wireless technology, they only require two things: a tag with an antenna and a reader that can communicate with it. The tag comes in many different forms and sizes depending on the purpose of its use, but they all essentially work the same way.

It has an antenna that sends out radio waves – readers then pick these signals up whenever there is one available (within range) and read their unique number. The software system records this info alongside other relevant data such as time, location information etc.
