InterviewInterview With Chelsea Hawk, Founder and CEO of Edi Health

With all the health trends, fads, and buzzwords being thrown around (keto, paleo, vegan, high-fat, low sugar, whole 30…. just to name a few!), things can get pretty confusing. Luckily, there’s Edi Healtha curated e-commerce marketplace that’s demystifying health and wellness. To learn more about Edi Health, we conducted an interview with Chelsea Hawk, Founder and CEO of Edi Health.

1. Can you tell us more about Edi Health?

Edi Health is an exciting new contextual health and wellness marketplace. We’re experts in finding the best products, and we provide consumers with the context needed to make informed purchasing decisions.

2. How do you choose the ingredients and products that are suitable for your consumers?

We look for brands that are committed to sustainably creating high-quality products. We look at a lot of companies and only select a small handful of brands to work with.

3. Who researches and chooses the ingredients and products featured on your platform?

I curate all of the products found at Edi Health. I geek out over this stuff, and I know what’s good and what’s not. We merge these high-quality products with content so that customers can decide what products make sense for their lifestyle.

4. What things do you think could help people adopt a healthy lifestyle?

I think that everything starts with how many fruits and vegetables you eat. We feature products that you can’t eat on their own. Instead, you have to combine them with something fresh, such as fruits and vegetables. That’s a very international move on our part.

5. How can your platform help in such adoption?

Eating healthy can be intimidating at times, so at Edi Health, we try to make it as easy as possible for consumers by providing pre-vetted products and expert-backed information.

6. What effects could a healthy lifestyle have on the individual?

Truly everything — food has the power to heal and cure everything from a bad mood to chronic disease.

7. Where do you see the health + wellness market in the next five years?

There’s a massive shift towards using food as medicine. In fact, it’s predicted that food as medicine will see around 7% yearly growth between now and 2025, which is incredibly exciting.

8. What recommendations would you like to give people who are looking to start a new diet regime?

Don’t be overwhelmed by all of the options and diets out there. Just focus on balance — lots of fruits, veggies, legumes, grains, and protein. It’s also completely fine to have chocolate, just all in moderation!
