- Candidates who have graduated in foreign countries in Obsterics & Gynaecology will be eligible to join this fellowship program after producing the following certificates:
- The Equivalent Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi.
- Temporary Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi.
- Migration certificate from their university.
The admission for this fellowship program happened twice a year, in January and July. This is a one-year fellowship program, and upon successful completion, candidates will have the option to join Progenesis Fertility Centre.
Students are introduced to in vitro fertilization or IVF during this fellowship in reproductive medicine. The introductory curriculum will teach how to set up an IVF lab and do quality control. Techniques like ultrasound folliculometry, semen analysis, sperm freezing, and urinary LH surge detection are discussed through a practical approach.
The program includes a complete investigation and management of infertility. Candidates will learn how to test for ovarian reserve through different stimulation protocols. They will learn about monitoring controlled ovarian hyperstimulation, OHSS management, and other approaches to ovarian stimulation in PCO patients.
According to Dr. Malagaonkar, “it is important for specialists to learn assistive reproductive techniques (ARTs) such as egg pick up protocol, cultural test preparation, IVF insemination and catheter loading of embryos.
