Liposuctions are among the world’s most popular forms of plastic procedures. Even in 2020, the year that saw a slump in almost all cosmetic procedures, over 210,000 liposuction procedures were performed in the U.S., placing liposuction fourth in terms of cosmetic procedure popularity.
High Definition Liposuction Demand
There has also been an uptick in non-invasive fat-burning techniques such as TruSculpt Flex. But despite the technological advancements in the technologies involved, no alternatives are as efficient as old fashioned-liposuction except next-gen lipo or high definition liposuction, which has seen an increase in demand in the last few years.
According to industry players, the high demand for high definition liposuction is fueled by modern social media’s culture of hype in fitness, wellness, and ideal body shape. Also, the procedure offers the answer that other procedures cannot address because it allows surgeons to eliminate stubborn pockets of fat. Any liposuction produces transformational results and is safe. However, the entrant of high-def liposuction takes the efficacy of liposuction to a whole new level.
The Technology Involved in the Procedure
“Traditional liposuction only served to reduce the volume,” says cosmetic surgeon Dr. Sacha Obaid. On the other hand, hi-def is more specific and focused on sculpting to offer clients a reduction of volume and an appearance of finely toned body and well-defined musculature. This procedure works best on people with “pinchable” amounts of fat and who are looking for faster results instead of the more extended exercise or diet routines. In other words, these are super-fit individuals looking for a touchup to make their body image pop.
Like traditional liposuction, the hi-def procedure involves sucking out fat and leaving the muscles thicker than the surrounding areas. This allows the muscles to achieve a more contoured appearance that leaves natural shadows in the formed dips, making the musculature more pronounced. Hi-def liposuction involves using Vaser, a machine that helps break down the fat more gently through its ultrasonic energy technology. The Vaser helps liquefy the fat cells, making them easier to extract. This device also allows surgeons to be more aggressive in the areas they want to achieve definition.
It May Not Be Everybody
If you are overweight or looking to lose weight through surgery, hi-def lipo may not be your option. In fact, liposuction is not an option for anyone looking to lose weight or achieve massive volume reduction. Even in the group that qualifies (individuals at or below a 28 BMI index), their skin type can determine if a person can get the procedure or not.
The ideal skin type must have a snapback rubber band-like quality, the type that can wrap down into contours created by the procedure. Without that kind of skin, the results would be loose hanging skin, defeating the whole purpose of the procedure. This means you must be really sure about your qualification for the procedure when the doctor confirms your skin type.
Hi-def liposuction targets the whole body rather than concentrating on one area to give recipients a uniform tone. Having a well-toned belly with somehow flabby arms may not look natural; you want all areas to reflect what your belly looks like. Aftercare is also as important as the procedure itself. This means you have to be careful where you get the procedure because you don’t want to suffer injuries from unethical practitioners or get results that do not reflect what you were expecting.
