Vitamin Energy is a growing line of healthy shots that boost energy levels the right way. These natural concoctions use super-cocktails of healthy fruits, vegetables, and superfoods to offer at least seven hours of boosted energy levels. To learn more, we conducted an interview with Vitamin Energy.
1. Can you tell us more about VitaminEnergy®?
VitaminEnergy® is the most convenient way to nourish your body with vitamins while boosting your energy for up to 7+ hours with no sugar crash later.
2. How has VitaminEnergy® grown so quickly?
VitaminEnergy® tastes great and packs a strong energy punch while providing the additional benefit of nourishing your body with vitamins. Our slogan is Energy, with Benefits™.
3. How can VitaminEnergy® help in boosting one’s energy levels throughout the day?
VitaminEnergy® packs 260mg of caffeine in every shot which boosts energy levels for up to 7+ hours. We say “up to 7+ hours” because depending on your caffeine tolerance, weight, age, amount of sleep, and a multitude of other factors VitaminEnergy® will affect each person’s energy levels differently. For instance if you only slept 3 hours the night before, have been awake for 18 hours straight, and drink coffee regularly, then you might only get a few minutes of energy from VitaminEnergy®. If you slept 8 hours the night before, don’t drink coffee regularly, and are just 2 hours into your day, you may get 12 hours of energy from drinking a VitaminEnergy® shot.
4. How can VitaminEnergy® support the immune system?
The VitaminEnergy® IMMUNE+ shot packs 100% DV of Vitamin C, which supports immune health. According to the US National Library of Medicine, Vitamin C has many benefits to your immune health including but not limited to the following: https://www.ncbi.
5. How can VitaminEnergy® support brain health?
The VitaminEnergy® FOCUS+ shots packs C0Q10 and BCAAs, which help support brain health. According to the US National Library of Medicine, Coenzyme Q10 is an essential cofactor of the electron transport chain as well as a potent free radical scavenger in lipid and mitochondrial membranes. Feeding with coenzyme Q10 increased cerebral cortex concentrations in 12- and 24-month-old rats. In 12-month-old rats administration of coenzyme Q10 resulted in significant increases in cerebral cortex mitochondrial concentrations of coenzyme Q10. Oral administration of coenzyme Q10 markedly attenuated striatal lesions produced by systemic administration of 3-nitropropionic acid and significantly increased life span in a transgenic mouse model of familial amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. These results show that oral administration of coenzyme Q10 increases both brain and brain mitochondrial concentrations. They provide further evidence that coenzyme Q10 can exert neuroprotective effects that might be useful in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. See https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.
According to the US National Library of Medicine, Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) influence brain function by modifying large, neutral amino acid (LNAA) transport at the blood-brain barrier. Transport is shared by several LNAAs, notably the BCAAs and the aromatic amino acids (ArAAs), and is competitive. Consequently, when plasma BCAA concentrations rise, which can occur in response to food ingestion or BCAA administration, or with the onset of certain metabolic diseases (e.g., uncontrolled diabetes), brain BCAA concentrations rise, and ArAA concentrations decline. Such effects occur acutely and chronically. Such reductions in brain ArAA concentrations have functional consequences: biochemically, they reduce the synthesis and the release of neurotransmitters derived from ArAAs, notably serotonin (from tryptophan) and catecholamines (from tyrosine and phenylalanine). The functional effects of such neurochemical changes include altered hormonal function, blood pressure, and affective state. Although the BCAAs thus have biochemical and functional effects in the brain, few attempts have been made to characterize time-course or dose-response relations for such effects. And, no studies have attempted to identify levels of BCAA intake that might produce adverse effects on the brain. The only “model” of very high BCAA exposure is a very rare genetic disorder, maple syrup urine
6. How can VitaminEnergy® support positive mood?
The VitaminEnergy® MOOD+ shot packs 5HTP and Rhodiola Rosea in it. According to the US National Library of Medicine, L-5-
According to the US National Library of Medicine, this trial evaluated the impact of a Rhodiola rosea L. extract on self-reported anxiety, stress, cognition, and other mood symptoms. Eighty mildly anxious participants were randomized into two different groups of either Rhodiola rosea L (2 × 200 mg dose Vitano®, 1 tablet taken before breakfast and 1tablet before lunch) or a control condition (no treatment). Self-report measures and cognitive tests were completed at four testing sessions over a period of 14 days. Relative to the controls, the experimental group demonstrated a significant reduction in self-reported, anxiety, stress, anger, confusion and depression at 14 days and a significant improvements in total mood. No relevant differences in cognitive performance between the groups were observed. Rhodiola rosea L (Vitano®) presented a favourable safety tolerability profile. Although this was a non-placebo controlled trial, it is unlikely that the findings were the result of placebo effects as changes appeared gradual and were specific to certain psychological measures. However, we cannot determine a causal relationship; further investigations are recommended to support the effects of Rhodiola rosea L. extract on stress related symptoms.
